Beware of speaking about Allaah without knowledge for one wrong word can destroy our Hereafter

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

Do not speak about Allaah without Knowledge:

Al-Imaam Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“And indeed Allaah سبحانه prohibited speaking about Him without knowledge in giving fatwaa and issuing judicial rulings, and He تعالى made it from the greatest of the Muharramaat (the prohibited matters). Rather He placed it in the highest level from them. So He تعالى said:

{Say (O Muhammad): “(But) indeed the things that my Lord has forbidden are al-Fawaahish (lewd, evil sins of every kind) whether committed openly or secretly, al-Ithm (sins of all kinds), al-Baghya (unrighteous oppression), joining partners (in worship) with Allaah for which He has sent down no authority for, and that you speak about Allaah that which you have no knowledge of.} [al-A`raaf (7):33]

So He تعالى arranged the Muharramaat in four levels, and He تعالى began with the least of them, and it is al-Fawaahish (lewd, evil sins of every kind) then secondly He تعالى followed with what is more severe than it in prohibition and it is al-Ithm* (sins of all kinds) and al-Dhulm (unrighteous oppression), then mentioned thirdly what is greater than them in prohibition and it is Shirk with Him سبحانه. Then He followed fourthly with what is more severe in prohibition than all of that, and it is speaking about Him without knowledge. And this is general to speaking about Him سبحانه without knowledge in His Asmaa’ was-Sifaat (Beautiful Names and Perfect Attributes) and His Af`aal (Actions), His Deen, and His Sharee`ah (Legislation)…”

[I’laam al-Muwaaqqi’een (1/31)]

*Allaahu a`lam, but it makes a lot of sense because generally Ithm refers to personal sins while Baghi refers to sins that affect others, and similarly shirk could be something that only affects the individual committing it but “speaking” about Allaah without knowledge and propagating falsehoods about Him will affect others.

One wrong word can destroy ones Hereafter:

*So beware of saying about Allaah تعالى without knowledge.

*Refrain from saying about Allaah تعالى which is not mentioned in the Book or the Sunnah.
Example:
saying: “I can list a thousand things which Allaah can’t do!” (such a statement is not found in the Kitaab or the Sunnah).

*Do not deny or belittle what Allaah تعالى has mentioned about Himself in the Kitaab or through His Prophet in the Ahaadeeth.
Example: saying: “Knowing where Allaah is, is not important.”

Narrated Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه: I heard the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم say: “There were two men among Banee Israa’eel, who were striving for the same goal. One of them would commit sin and the other would strive to do his best in the world. The man who exerted himself in worship continued to see the other in sin. He would say: ‘Refrain from it.’ One day he found him in sin and said to him: ‘Refrain from it.’ He (the other man) said: ‘Leave me alone with my Lord. Have you been sent as a watchman over me?’ He (the first man) said: ‘I swear by Allaah, Allaah will not forgive you, nor will he admit you to Paradise.’ Then their souls were taken back (by Allaah), and they met together with the Lord of the worlds. He (Allaah تعالى) said to this man who had striven hard in worship: {Had you knowledge about Me or had you power over that which I had in My hand?} He said to the man who sinned: {Go and enter Paradise by My mercy.} He said about the other: {Take him to Hell.}
Abu Hurairah said رضي الله عنه: By Him in Whose hand my soul is, he spoke a word by which this world and the next world of his were destroyed.
