The two great companions

Shaqeeq رحمه الله said:

“The slave (of Allaah) cannot have a companionship better than that of grief and fear. Grief for what has preceded from him of the sins and the fear of not knowing what will afflict him (due to those sins).”

[al-Baihaqee (868/2/271)]

How the hearts get ruined:

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

Maalik bin Deenar رحمه الله said:

“The heart will get ruined if it does not grieve (for its sins), similar to a house which gets ruined when there is no one residing in it.”

Among the great calamities:

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

`Abdullaah Ibn Mubaarak رحمه الله said:

“Among the great calamities which can inflict a person is that he knows that he is negligent (in his religious duties) but he does not mind it nor does he grieve over it.”

[Shu`ab al-Imaan (2/271) of Imaam al-Baihaqee]

Music and the downfall of the nation:

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

“And it is known, to the specific and the people in general, that the Fitnah of listening to music and singing is greater than the Fitnah of lamenting* by a large degree.

And what we have witnessed, we and those other than us, and what we came to know through experience is that: Singing and musical instruments have not appeared in a nation, and it spread among them, and they got busy in them, except that Allaah تعالى allowed the enemies to overpower them and afflicted them with famine, poverty and corrupt rulers.

The person of sound intellect contemplates and sees the state the world is in – and Allaah’s help is sought.”

[Madaarij al-Saalikeen (1/496)]

*Lamenting by wailing loudly, beating the cheeks and tearing the clothes are from the acts of the days of ignorance (Jaahiliyyah). In those days women were hired to wail at the death of someone.

Shirk al-Asghar does not remove a person from Islaam:

بـسـم الله والحـمـد لله والـصلاة والـسـلام عــلى رسـول الله، وبـعـد

Allaah تعالى said:

{Verily, Allaah forgives not that partners should be set up with him in worship, but He forgives except that (anything else) to whom He pleases} [Surah al-Nisaa’ (4): 48]

The importance of Imaan (Faith) while facing the enemies:

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

*The numbers are of little importance if the people are lacking faith.
*Imaan increases with obedience and decreases with sins.
*Help from Allaah doesn’t come when the Sunnah is opposed.
*Seek Allaah’s help thru patience and prayers.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Have you heard of a city, one side of which is on land and the other is in the sea?” They said: Yes, O Messenger of Allaah. He صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “The Hour will not begin until seventy thousand of Banee Is-haaq** attack it. When they come to it, they will halt and they will not fight with weapons nor will they shoot arrows. They will say: ‘Laa ilaaha illallaah, wa-llaahu akbar’ (None has the right to be worshipped but Allaah, and Allaah is the greatest), and one of its two sides will fall.”

“A weapon is only as good as its user”

As the saying goes: “A weapon is only as good as its user”

We as Muslim have our own weapons too:

Imaan, Salaah, Zakaah, Siyaam, Hajj, Obedience, Ittebaa` (following) as-Sunnah, Du`aa, Akhlaaq (good manners).

In the end, it all comes down to how much we utilize them in the times of Fitan.

The importance of Dhikr of Allaah in warding off al-Nifaaq (hypocrisy):

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

Doing a lot of remembrance of Allaah عز وجل is a protection from hypocrisy. The hypocrites do not remember Allaah تعالى except very little. Allaah تعالى mentions about the hypocrites:

﴿وَلَا يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّـهَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا﴾

{…and they do not remember Allaah but little} [Surah al-Nisaa’ (4): 142]

Ka`b (Ibn Maalik) رضي الله عنه said: “Whoever remembers Allaah عز وجل a lot, will be freed from hypocrisy.”

No wonder – and Allaah knows best – Allaah تعالى ended Surah al-Munaafiqoon, saying:

﴿يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُلْهِكُمْ أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَلَا أَوْلَادُكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ اللَّـهِ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُولَـٰئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ﴾

{O you who Believe! Let not your properties or your children divert you from the remembrance of Allaah. And whosoever does that, then they are the losers.} [Surah al-Munaafiqoon (63):9]

In this there is a warning (for the Believers) from the Fitnah of the hypocrites, those who became negligent in the remembrance of Allaah عز وجل and fell into hypocrisy.

Brief Comments on Riyaadh al-Saaliheen #73

Chapter: Prohibition of miserliness and covetousness:

بسم
الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

Allaah تعالى said:

{But he who is greedy miser and thinks himself self-sufficient. And denies al-Husna; We will make smooth for him the path towards difficulty; And what will his wealth benefit him when he goes down (in destruction).} [Surah al-Lail (92): 8-11]

And He تعالى said:

{And whosoever is saved from his own covetousness, then they are the successful ones.} [Surah al-Taghaabun (64): 16]

What is extremism and negligence in religion?

-Following the Sunnah does not in anyways mean extremism.

-When a person implements the Do’s and Don’ts mentioned in the Book and the Sunnah, he is following the Sharee`ah.

**Example: when a person keeps a beard, keeps his lower garments above his ankles, prays 5 times a day, doesn’t listen to Music or drinks or gambles etc.

-Extremism is when a person does more than what has been mentioned in the Book and the Sunnah or he does something which is more than his capacity.

**Example: washing the body parts more than 3 times while making Wudhoo, wiping the neck, or forcing oneself to pray standing while he is not able to.

Narrated Anas bin Maalik رضي الله عنه: Once the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم entered the Masjid and saw a rope hanging in between its two pillars. He صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “What is this rope?” The people said: “This rope is for Zainab who, when she feels tired, holds it (to keep standing for the prayer.)” The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم said: “Don't use it. Remove the rope. You should pray as long as you feel active, and when you get tired, sit down.” [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree]

On the authority of Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه, who said: I heard the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم say: “What I have forbidden to you, avoid; what I have ordered you [to do], do as much of it as you can. It was only their excessive questioning and their disagreeing with their prophets that destroyed those who were before you.” [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (7288) and Saheeh Muslim (2388, 4355)]

-Negligence is when a person knows the Sharee`ah but does not want to follow it.

When those - who are negligent or lenient in regards to their religious duties - don’t want to follow the Sunnah, they label those who DO follow the Sunnah as extremist. So do NOT let the blaming of the negligent and their labeling you as extremist prevent you from following the Sunnah.

Allaah تعالى describes one of the characteristics of the Believers as:

{…striving in the Way of Allaah, and never afraid of the blame of the blamers.} [Surah al-Maaidah (5):54]

The Khawaarij are the mischief-makers:

بسم الله والحمد لله والصلاة والسلام على رسول الله ، وبعد

Do you know why in their history the Takfeeris/Khawaarij never got to rule the Muslim Lands?

Do you know that the Shias (Fatimids) and the Soofees ruled the Muslim lands, but the Khawaarij did not?

Do you know the reason why? It is because of their love for spreading mischief (Fasaad) on earth while they are thinking that they are peacemakers!

They make takfeer of the masses; they make it permissible to shed blood of the Muslims, they killed more Muslims than they ever killed the Kuffaar. The blood of the Sahaabah are on their hands including the elite of them the two Khaleefahs, `Uthamaan and `Alee They destroyed Muslim lives, their lands and their wealth. The Kuffar are safe from them but not the Muslims.

Allaah تعالى said:

{…and making peace is better} [Surah al-Nisaa’ (4): 128]

Shaikh al-Sa`dee رحمه الله said:

Pursuing to make peace between people is better than optional prayers, fasting and charity. For the peacemaker, no doubt Allaah تعالى will set right their quest and their actions (and will aid them).

But as for the quest for making mischief, Allaah does not set right their actions nor does He aid them in fulfilling their objectives as He تعالى said:

﴿إِنَّ اللَّهَ لا يُصْلِحُ عَمَلَ الْمُفْسِدِينَ﴾

{Verily, Allah does not set right the work of Al-Mufsidoon} [Surah Yunus (10): 81]
---end of quote from Tafseer al-Sa`dee (4): 114

Moreover Allaah تعالى said:

{Allaah likes not mischief} [Surah al-Baqarah (2):205]

{Allaah likes not the Mufsidoon (mischief-makers)} [Surah al-Qasas (28): 77]

{…and follow not the way of the Mufsidoon.} [Surah al-A`raaf (7): 142]

In the end, the envier only harms himself.

Shaikh al-`Uthaymeen رحمه الله said:

“Hasad (envy/jealousy) is from the characteristics of the Jews and it is from the major sins. It does not change what Allaah عز وجل has already decreed. Rather, it is a cause of anguish for the envier and sublimity for the envied. It does not matter how treacherously the envier behaves with him, Allaah تعالى will take revenge from the unjust.”

Wherever you see Fitnah: RUN!

{…and do not throw yourselves into destruction} [Surah al-Baqarah (2): 195]

Yusuf عليه السلام fled from the Fitnah, when the wife of the `Azeez approached him:

﴿وَاسْتَبَقَا الْبَابَ وَقَدَّتْ قَمِيصَهُ مِن دُبُرٍ﴾

{So they raced with one another to the door, and she tore his shirt from the back.} [Surah Yusuf (12): 25]

Before his Prophethood, Moosaa عليه السلام fled from the evil:

﴿فَفَرَرْتُ مِنكُمْ لَمَّا خِفْتُكُمْ﴾

{“So I fled from you when I feared you”} [Surah al-Shu`araa’ (26): 21]

The Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم instructed Hudhaifah bin al-Yamaan رضي الله عنه that during the times of Fitan. Hudhaifah said to the Prophet What do you order me to do if such a state should take place in my life?

Stick to the group of Muslims and their Imaam (ruler). Hudhaifah said: If there is neither a group of Muslims nor an Imaam (ruler)?

Then turn away from all those sects even if you were to bite (eat) the roots of a tree till death overtakes you while you are in that state. [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (3606, 7084) and Saheeh Muslim (4553)]

Allaah's Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم also said:

يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَكُونَ خَيْرَ مَالِ المُسْلِمِ غَنَمٌ يَتْبَعُ بِهَا شَعَفَ الجِبَالِ وَمَوَاقِعَ القَطْرِ، يَفِرُّ بِدِينِهِ مِنَ الفِتَنِ

A time will soon come when the best property of a Muslim will be sheep which he will take on the top of mountains and the places of rainfall (valleys) SO AS TO FLEE WITH HIS RELIGION FROM AFFLICTIONS. [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (19, 3300, 7088)]

Evil effects of Fitan:
Adopted from the Book “Athaar al-Fitan” by Shaikh `Abdul-Razzaaq bin `Abdul Muhsin al-Badr

1. Preoccupies the people and turns them away from `Ibaadah.

2. Turns them away from scholars and seeking knowledge.

3. The foolish take the lead.

4. The consequences are evil and leads towards a bad ending.

5. Whoever exposes himself to Fitnah will perish.

6. Matters become doubtful as truth is mixed with falsehood.

7. Corruption of the youth.

8. Weakness in the bonds of religious brotherhood.

9. The audacity to murder and shed blood.

10. Security is disrupted.

11. Corrupt people get to spread their falsehood.

12. The enemies get an upper hand.

Knowing the verses is not enough if the person doesn't know there correct implications

Imaam al-Bukhaaree mentioned in his Saheeh:

Ibn `Umar رضي الله عنهما considered the Khawaarij and the heretics (al-Mulhideen) as the worst of Allaah’s creatures and said: “These people took some Verses that had been revealed concerning the disbelievers and interpreted them and applied them to the believers.”

Seeking Allaah’s refuge from the `ilm which does not benefit:

By Shaikh `Abdul-`Azeez bin `Abdullaah al-Raajhi

Abu Bakr bin Abu Shaibah narrated to us: Abu Khaaled al-Ahmar narrated to us on the authority of Ibn `Ajlaan, on the authority of Sa`eed bin Abu Sa`eed, on the authority of Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه that from the Du`aa of the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم was:

اللهم إني أعوذ بك من الأربع من علم لا ينفع، ومن دعاء لا يسمع، ومن قلب لا يخشع، ومن نفس لا تشبع

“O Allaah, I seek refuge with You from four things: From knowledge that is of no benefit, from a heart that does not fear (You), from a soul that is never satisfied, and from a supplication that is not heard” [Sunan Ibn Maajah (250)]

Illuminati / Freemasons and Us

In regards to the Illuminati/Freemasons:

a. Do not let them weaken your Imaan.

b. If they are plotting, then know that Allaah تعالى too is planning and Allaah is the best of planners.

c. No one can harm us except with what Allaah تعالى has already decreed.

d. We were already informed by the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم that the Jews will follow the Dajjaal, so no need to be surprised.

e. Best of all, the Muslims are going to fight the Jews till even the stones and trees will show their hideouts.

f. But last of all: What are we doing? Where is our Salaah, our Du`aa and the Tahajjud?

Don’t worry about what they are doing. Make them worry about what we can do (through our Ibaadah).
